NEELY EGAN | 4th YEAR | POLITICAL AND SOCIAL THOUGHT
MEET THE VICE CHAIR OF MEMBERSHIP
My name is Neely Egan, and I'm a 4th year from Jacksonville, FL. At UVa, I'm in an interdisciplinary major called Political and Social Thought. If I'm not in the PAC, catch me in an IM soccer game, studying on the lawn, or teaching Computer Science to middle school girls.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE IN UPC?
I'm the Vice Chair of Membership(!), which means that I handle all internal relationships for UPC. My big projects are recruitment, new member training, and running the social committee.
WHAT DOES UPC MEAN TO YOU?
UPC is simply the best part of my UVa experience. It has allowed me to meet people from all over the university while growing not only as a person, but as a leader. UPC is an organization that is devoted to fun. We provide welcome spaces where people can ignore the stress of classes for a moment and engage with their peers. Is there anything better to be a part of?!
IF YOU COULD YOU COULD LISTEN TO ONE SONG FOR THE REST OF YOUR OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Loving Is Easy by Rex Orange County, because it bumps, bounces and is easy to sing along to.
WHAT IS YOUR SPIRIT ANIMAL?
Ostrich! Because I'm tall, make weird facial expressions, and can sometimes be awkward.
